You heard coyotes, no wolves in that area. They tried a reintroduction many years ago but they started killing coyotes and they were removed. They were all collard animals so they got them all back. There is a small pack of red wolves in eastern NC but none by the GH. We got to hear wolves in the Boundary Waters in MN. That would be a really cool trip for your family.
